A supportive next step into college

Connect2 is designed for young people who would benefit from a smaller, supportive learning environment as they take their next step into college.

Whether you have been out of education, found a previous learning environment challenging or simply need a gentler transition into college, Connect2 gives you the opportunity to build your confidence, develop new skills and prepare for your future.

With small class sizes and support from our team, you can develop at a pace that works for you while becoming more confident and independent in your learning.

Choose your pathway

You will choose one of three pathways based on your interests and future goals:

Creative
Explore your creativity and develop practical skills through a range of creative activities.

Industry
Develop practical skills and explore opportunities linked to industry and the world of work.

Health and Social Care
Explore the skills and knowledge needed to work with and support others, while discovering opportunities within health and social care.

Your chosen pathway will be studied alongside English and maths, helping you develop the skills you need for further education and employment.

Develop skills for your future

Connect2 is about more than your chosen subject. Personal development sessions will help you build the skills and confidence you need to take your next step.

You will have opportunities to develop:

Preparing for your next step

Throughout Connect2, you will be supported to think about what you want to do next and develop the skills you need to get there.

As your confidence, knowledge and skills grow, you can work towards progressing to further education, training or employment.

Our team will help you explore your options and identify a next step that reflects your interests, strengths and goals.

Start when the time is right

You don’t have to wait until the beginning of the next academic year. Connect2 accepts enrolments between September and April, giving you the flexibility to join college during the year.

If your plans have changed, you have been out of education or you feel ready to try something new, Connect2 could be the next step for you.

Is Connect2 right for me?

There are no formal academic entry requirements for Connect2.

We are looking for learners who have an interest in their chosen pathway and are willing to take part in learning, develop new skills and commit to attending college.
