Accountability Statement
Intent
In the Skills for Jobs White Paper, the Department for Education introduced Accountability Agreements which set the overall expectations of colleges and other providers in return for the Department’s funding investment. Accountability Agreements indicate a small summary of areas of focus for providers and how they intend to deliver to support local, regional and national needs.
The Accountability Statement for Furness College sets out a small number of outcome targets for areas of curriculum that we are planning to change or further develop for the coming year. The targets reflect how we contribute to priorities outlined in Local Skills Improvement Plans and has been drafted in consultation with number of key local and regional partners, including employer representatives, other providers, Cumbria LEP and Cumbria Chamber of Commerce.
