With a £47 million campus, Channelside offers a superb range of facilities.

Our multi-million-pound campus houses world-class facilities including learning suites complete with the latest technology, equipment for all vocational areas as well as higher education and business training, student social areas and a restaurant and salon. The campus has state-of-the-art workshop facilities which equip students for their progression into the workplace. The campus houses a dedicated centre for Higher Education delivery in Barrow in association with our HE partner universities and Edexcel.

Also included are a virtual classroom, complete with virtual babies to support the Early Years and Education curriculum. A clinical suite is also included in the facilities, where health and social care students can experience the surroundings of a hospital ward.

Furness College’s Channelside campus offers a full range of sports facilities, a fully equipped fitness suite, which boasts the full range of equipment that you expect to see in a modern commercial fitness club, Sports Hall (The Match Box) and 3G pitch.

The latest addition to our facilities is a £4 million engineering and technological training facility. The Advanced Manufacturing and Technology Centre (AMTC) services the demand for skills training, supporting advanced manufacturing, linked to the growth of major companies in the area and the supply chain.
