How do I apply to Furness College?
You can apply online now or if you want to ask us a question: https://www.furnessapplications.co.uk/courseenquiry.cfm
Have a look at the courses that interest you and check the entry requirements at the bottom of the course page. If you are unsure on what to apply for, please speak to a teacher/careers advisor/parent or guardian.
What you will need:
- An email address (can be your own or a parent/guardian’s)
- A contact mobile number (preferably your own)
- Your parent/guardian’s email and phone number to add as your emergency contacts
- Your predicted grades and subjects
Yes, most courses do, though we do offer courses for those with no prior qualifications and we always treat everyone as an individual. If you are leaving school this year and looking to join us in September click here https://www.furness.ac.uk/16-18/year-11/. For other course requirements use the search function to find the course that best suits you.
To help you to decide it might be useful to ask yourself the following questions:
- What are my long term career goals?
- What are my interests?
- What subjects do I enjoy?
- What GCSE grades am I likely to achieve?
Discuss your options with your friends, parents/guardians, careers teachers and Inspira advisor. Make the most of attending open evenings and careers events.
If you are undecided, you can apply to both campuses.
As part of your application form, we’d like to know about your career plans and future ambitions. What are you passionate about?
It’s a good idea to chat to your parents/guardians, teachers or Inspira advisor and prepare a short paragraph to submit with your application form.
It’s really easy to complete and submit an application form online or you can alternatively request for a paper copy to be sent to you. If you have any questions about completing your form, please contact Student Services.
You can download our latest prospectus here or phone the college for an informal chat on 01229 825017.
