We offer a wide range of Twilight Tasters at both of Furness College’s campuses available to Year 10 and 11 pupils. These were introduced for the first time in 2015 and have proved very popular with young people. Students commit to two, three or four weeks of after-school activities – the length and times are different for each curriculum area. These sessions are very hands-on and provide information about career opportunities in the sector.
Dates and times TBC.
At our sixth form Rating Lane campus, new students in A Level, Cambridge Technical Level 3, BTEC Level 3, GCSE and Cambridge Technical Level 2 classes will have their progress formally assessed and recorded for each subject on Pro Portal approximately every four weeks against the level of their Target Grade (TG).
These formal assessments will be on exam board pieces of work marked to exam board criteria. Poor performance in multiple recorded assessments will be followed up by PPCS.
Please ask your son/daughter about their progress in these assessments.
