Course Content
What Modules will you Study?
Core component – you will learn about how businesses work, key people and stakeholders, financial aspects to business, project and change management. This section is assessed through two externally set and marked exams
Employer set project – this component gives you the chance to apply your knowledge to a business scenario or context. This is externally set and marked and will take place over a set number of hours, usually during year 1.
Industry Placement – 315 hours in a suitable workplace to support you to gain the skills and knowledge needed for business. This will take place throughout the programme enabling you to apply your workplace knowledge to your learning
Occupational Specialism – in year 2 you will specialise and develop your skills in leadership and management learning about organisational strategy, policies and procedures, legislation, develop project management skills and understand the difference between leadership and management in business. You will learn to lead a team, what makes an effective team and the importance of human resource management within a business.

Entry Requirements
What are the entry requirements?
A minimum of five GCSEs at grade 5 or above, including English.

What opportunities will this lead to?
This qualification focuses on the
development of knowledge and skills needed to work in any sector within an administrative and managerial role and prepares students to enter through employment or as an apprentice. The completion of this qualification gives students the opportunity to progress onto higher
education courses and training.
