Introduction to the Hospitality Industry

This is a new course aimed at adult learners as a stepping stone into employment.  It combines a variety of smaller qualifications and will centre around running a coffee shop in our training restaurant. Each week there will be 1 practical class in the kitchen 1 practical class serving customers in the coffee shop and 1 theory class. Total approximately 10 hours per week over 2 days.

Course Content

What Modules will you Study?

  • Level 1 Certificate in Developing Employability Skills
  • Level 1 Certificate in Introduction to the Hospitality Industry
  • Level 2 Award in Barista Skills
  • Level 2 Award in Food Safety

How long is the course?

September 2021 – May 2022.

Are there any additional costs?

Uniform and text book required total cost approximately £120 – help may be available depending on household income.
