Entry Requirements

What are the entry requirements?

The access to Higher Education (HE) Diploma is for learners aged over 19 years.

Entrance to the Access course is based on a satisfactory interview and achieving at least level one literacy in your diagnostic assessment. You should also, preferably, have some evidence of recent study, i.e. within the last five years. Due to changes to most University entry requirements, all Access applicants must have either GCSE Maths or English at grade C/4 or above (Functional skills or Key skills are not in this case considered to be suitable alternatives).

An opportunity to study for either GCSE (or alternative) maths or English, will be available for you. It is not possible to study both English and Maths.

Progression

What opportunities will this lead to?

Allied Health Professions Pathway is designed to provide a pathway into higher education and future careers including nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy, paramedic and other health care related professions.
