Barrow Sixth Form student Kelly Hannah has been putting her creative skills to good use thanks to our Foundation course in Art, Design and Media.
She said: “I chose to do the Foundation course in Art, Design and Media because I wanted to experiment and develop my skills in styles and medias that I never would have done.”
“The course explores a wide range of styles like 3D, different types of print, animation, Graphic design and more. I really enjoyed the printmaking unit, when I was creating my prints, I tried to make each piece individually unique from each other by adding different materials and colours.”
When asked about career ambitions she said: “I hope that I will be able to get into university.”
“For a career goal, I only hope that I will be able to get a job that is connected with art. The Foundation course in Art, Design and Media has given me the confidence to try out ideas and to push myself to work hard as hard work really does pay off.”
Kelly added: “The best thing about studying Art is the people in my course. During these hard times both my classmates and tutors have been trying their hardest to work hard and also motivate each other to develop and create work. When it gets tough, everyone is really understanding.”
