New Principal says ‘we transform futures and it’s never too late to enrol…’

On Friday 1^st September, Nicola Cove commenced the role of Principal and CEO of Furness College, which incorporates Barrow Sixth Form.

Nicola Cove says:

“I am delighted to be leading a College which places students at the centre of everything we do, working in partnership to move lives and transform futures.

 Furness College has had a fantastic year of results with our students achieving excellent outcomes and progressing to their chosen destination of university study, an apprenticeship or employment.

 The College continues to work tirelessly in providing a curriculum which responds to the local skills agenda, whilst supporting our students to achieve and progress to their chosen destination.

 We are very proud of the achievements of our students, and feel sure that they will thrive, whether that be in University study or employment.

 Enrolment for courses starting in September 2023 is still open and will remain open over the coming weeks to support new and returning students, so it’s not too late to put in place a plan that is right for you!”

Across our two main campuses, we are hosting some specific student advice sessions at Channelside & Rating Lane on Wednesday 13^th September at 3pm – 5pm.
