CORE is a programme available to 16–18 year olds at our Channelside campus. In our dedicated CORE unit, you’ll find a small, nurturing environment that helps you build confidence, develop new skills, and prepare for your next steps, whether that’s progressing to a wider college course or moving into employment.
CORE programmes offer a variety of subjects and experiences designed to make learning engaging and relevant. Our CORE Pathway Coaches support you every step of the way, helping you discover your strengths through practical tasks, the use of technology, and activities that suit different learning styles.
At Level 1 you will study Employability Skills, with the option of Health and Social Care or Projects as your pathway.
All courses include maths and English at either GCSE or functional skills level, depending on previous qualifications gained. Each student will be assessed during induction to determine what level they are currently working at so that learning can be tailored specifically to their needs.
You can enrol at anytime throughout the year.
