Course Content
What Modules will you Study?
In this course, you will delve into the critical environmental challenges our planet faces today. You’ll explore how natural systems support human life, examine the ways in which these systems are threatened, and investigate innovative technologies and strategies aimed at promoting sustainable living.
Through studying topics such as wildlife conservation, resource management, energy use, pollution, and food production, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of both the environmental problems and potential solutions.
The curriculum covers a broad range of subjects, including conservation techniques, land use conflicts, global climate change, pollution control, energy resources, sustainable biological resources, evolution, biotechnology, ecosystems, and population dynamics. Additionally, you will learn how societies make decisions regarding environmental issues and how these decisions impact economic and social success.

Entry Requirements
What are the entry requirements?
To study A Level Environmental Science you will need at least three GCSEs grade 4 or above plus at least two GCSEs grade 5 or above to include:
GCSE English Language or Literature minimum grade 4
GCSE Mathematics minimum grade 4
GCSE Combined Science minimum grade 4:4 or two single GCSE sciences minimum grade 4
Students who are accepted onto the course with GCSE English Literature will study GCSE English Language alongside A Levels.
