Primary pupils showed off their skills creating Lego robots at an interactive workshop at Furness College.
The STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Maths) event was organised by CSTEM and included Year 6 pupils from across the area.
The pupils worked in teams using programming software on an iPad to make their robot move and to record data, having a race at the end to see which one was the fastest.
David Reddy, Headteacher at George Romney which was one of the schools involved, said it was a fantastic extension to their classroom learning.
“This event has involved putting this knowledge into practice by using trial and error, strategies and communicating with each other to discuss what makes a fair test,” he said.
