The Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy Treatments is a substantial vocational qualification for learners seeking a career as an employed and/or self-employed beauty therapist. This qualification is based on the beauty therapy National Occupational Standards (NOS) and is recognised by the UK's leading professional bodies (The British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology (BABTAC) and the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT)) as being fit for purpose for preparing learners for a career as a level 3 qualified beauty therapist.

• Monitor and maintain health and safety practice in the salon.
• Client care and communication in beauty-related industries
• Working in beauty-related industries
• Provide body massage
• Provide facial electrotherapy treatments
• Provide body electrotherapy treatments
• Apply micro dermabrasion
• Provide massage using pre-blended aromatherapy oils
• Apply stone therapy massage

Entry Requirements
What are the entry requirements?
Beauty Therapy Level 2 or equivalent and the following behaviours and attributes:
• Show enthusiasm for the subject area
• Show evidence of good skills in practical subjects
• Enjoy working with other people and possess good interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate a commitment to study
• Be able to work independently
• Be willing to practise treatments on other students & clients
Progression
What opportunities will this lead to?
Whilst this qualification's primary purpose is to prepare learners for employment as a qualified beauty therapist, you can progress on to university to study beauty/complementary therapy courses, foundation degree in hair, beauty & business, or teacher training or short courses to enhance your skills.
Career opportunities as a beauty therapist exist in a variety of contexts, including:
