The Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy Treatments is an advanced qualification designed for those looking to build a successful career in the beauty industry, whether you’re progressing in education or returning to develop your skills.

This course prepares you to work as a professional beauty therapist, either in employment or self-employment, with the confidence to deliver advanced, high-value treatments.

Based on the latest National Occupational Standards (NOS), the qualification is recognised by leading industry bodies including BABTAC (British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology) and the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT), giving you a respected, industry-approved certification.

By completing this course, you’ll gain the knowledge, practical skills, and professionalism needed to take the next step in your career and progress into more advanced opportunities within the beauty and aesthetics sector.

You must already hold a Level 2 Beauty Therapy qualification to enrol on this course.

Course Content

What Modules will you Study?

You’ll benefit from a combination of hands-on practical training and classroom-based theory, giving you the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the industry.

Practical sessions take place in a realistic salon environment, where you’ll work on real clients to build confidence and experience. Alongside this, you’ll develop your understanding through theory lessons covering key topics such as anatomy, health and safety, and client care.

Units studied include:

• Monitor and maintain health and safety practice in the salon.
• Client care and communication in beauty-related industries
• Working in beauty-related industries
• Provide body massage
• Provide facial electrotherapy treatments
• Provide body electrotherapy treatments
• Apply micro dermabrasion
• Provide massage using pre-blended aromatherapy oils
• Apply stone therapy massage

Entry Requirements

What are the entry requirements?

Beauty Therapy Level 2 or equivalent and the following behaviours and attributes:

• Show enthusiasm for the subject area
• Show evidence of good skills in practical subjects
• Enjoy working with other people and possess good interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate a commitment to study
• Be able to work independently
• Be willing to practise treatments on other students & clients

Progression

What opportunities will this lead to?

Whilst this qualification's primary purpose is to prepare learners for employment as a qualified beauty therapist, you can progress on to university to study beauty/complementary therapy courses, foundation degree in hair, beauty & business, or teacher training or short courses to enhance your skills. Career opportunities as a beauty therapist exist in a variety of contexts, including:
