VTCT Level 2 Award in LED Gel Polish Techniques

The purpose of this qualification is to develop your skills to a high level of occupational ability, to enable you to perform your own salon services.

You will achieve a VTCT Level 2 Award in LED Gel Polish Techniques.

You will learn through a mix of directed learning and practical workshops.

All the practical work is assessed on clients in our salon. You will have practical and oral questions to prove knowledge plus assignments and written tests in each area. A portfolio of evidence is built up throughout the course.

Course Content

What Modules will you Study?

You will study the following units:

- Apply LED gel polish

The VTCT Level 2 Award in LED Gel Polish Techniques (QCF) is a single unit award qualification. The aim of this unit is to develop your knowledge, understanding and skills in applying, maintaining and removing LED Gel polish. You will learn how to recognise contra-indications, prepare for service and produce a treatment plan whilst maintaining effective health, safety and hygiene working practice for nail technicians/therapists. You will also learn about the anatomy and physiology of the skin and nails.

Entry Requirements

What are the entry requirements?

There are no formal pre-requisite qualifications that you must have prior to undertaking this qualification. A professional approach and good communication skills are an asset. An interest in the subject is essential.

Progression

What opportunities will this lead to?

You will receive a professional qualification which will enable you to carry out a gel polish treatment in a salon, health spa etc. Further study may be beauty specialist, beauty therapy, or a nail technician.
