Level 3 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Principles

We're currently developing our new Level 3 Motor Vehicle course and will be sharing full details soon.

Designed for learners who have already achieved a relevant Level 2 qualification, this course will build on your existing skills and knowledge, helping you develop the advanced technical expertise required for the motor vehicle industry.

To be eligible, you will need to have achieved a relevant Level 2 qualification and hold a Grade 4 (or equivalent) in either English or Maths. If you do not yet have a Grade 4 in one of these subjects, you may be able to study either English or Maths as part of your programme (but not both).

We are accepting applications for September 2026.

Entry Requirements

What are the entry requirements?

Progression

What opportunities will this lead to?

Completing a Level 3 Motor Vehicle qualification can open the door to a range of career opportunities within the automotive industry, including roles as a vehicle technician, diagnostic technician or MOT tester (with the required additional qualifications and experience). It can also provide a strong foundation for progressing into higher-level apprenticeships, specialist manufacturer training, or further study in automotive engineering and related fields.
