The Level 2 Qualification in Community Sports Leadership gives you the chance to use sports and physical activity as a way of supporting learners to develop essential skills. From planning and leading an event in your local community to managing others in further education or work, this qualification offers a solid foundation of transferable skills. The course offers a blend of theory and practical experience giving you multiple opportunities to put into practice your leadership skills as they develop throughout the course.
Units to be covered within this course will include:
- Building leadership skills
- Plan, lead and evaluate sport/physical activity sessions
- Assist in planning and leading a sports/phyical activity event
- Lead sport/physical activity sessions in your community
All four units to be completed plus 5 hours leadership time which must be over two sport disciplines, for example football and dance.

Funding may be available if you are unemployed or earning less than £25,750 per year, subject to meeting residency eligibility criteria.
