What Modules will you Study?
With the demographics in the UK changing rapidly, the health and social care sector is experiencing huge growth. In the local area there are lots of opportunities to join the sector. For those wishing to work in thes sector, a Cambridge Technical qualification in Health and Social Care provides a solid foundation of knowledge, practical skills and experience.
You will study four mandatory and one optional module. Topics include:
Communication in health and social care
Individual rights in health and social care
Individual needs in Health and Social Care
Ensuring safe environments in health and social care
Vocational experience in a health and social care setting
Anatomy and physiology for health and social care
You will also go out on work placement and have the opportunity to study either functional skills or GCSE English and maths.

Full-time over 1 year.

Entry Requirements
What are the entry requirements?
You will need a minimum of four GCSEs at grade 3 or above.
All applicants are required to have a Child & Adult Workforce DBS.
The DBS check will be applied for before starting the course, at a cost of £56.
Progression
What opportunities will this lead to?
Many of our recent alumni have progressed directly into employment with the NHS or other local social care employers. Some of our students choose to progress onto Higher Education completing our HNC in Healthcare Practice (Healthcare Management) or to university in specialist pathways such as psychology, social work and all strands of nursing.
