What Modules will you Study?
With the demographics in the UK changing rapidly and the population living longer, the health and social care sectors will experience huge growth over the next few years. For those wishing to work in these sectors, a Cambridge Technical qualification in Health and Social Care provides a solid foundation of knowledge, practical skills and experience.
You will study six modules:
Unit 1 - Communication in health and social care
Unit 2 - Individual rights in health and social care
Unit 3 - Individual needs in Health and Social Care
Unit 4 - Ensuring safe environments in health and social care
Unit 5 - Vocational experience in a health and social care setting
Unit 7 - Anatomy and physiology for health and social care
You will also go out on work placement and have the opportunity to study either functional skills or GCSE English and maths.

Full-time over 1 year.

What are the entry requirements?
Three or more GCSEs at grade 3 or above.
Progression
What opportunities will this lead to?
Many of our recent alumni have progressed directly into employment with the NHS or other local social care employers. Some of our students choose to progress onto Higher Education completing our HNC in Healthcare Practice (Healthcare Management) or to university in specialist pathways such as psychology, social work and all strands of nursing.
