Develop your knowledge and understanding in caring for children and young people with this flexible distance learning course.
Designed for those who are already working in, or looking to start a career in health and social care or education, this nationally recognised NCFE qualification provides a broad introduction to child care and education, babysitting, and parenting responsibilities. You will also explore how children learn, develop and play, helping you build the knowledge and confidence needed to support children in a variety of settings.
This qualification includes all the units from the Level 2 Award in Babysitting and the Level 2 Award in Preparation for the Responsibilities of Parenting
This course is distance learning where you can study at your own pace, with the option of drop-in support sessions at Channelside. There is a range of courses in the suite but enrolment is only possible to one course at a time.

What are the entry requirements?

The course is suitable for anyone who has an interest, or already works in a health care setting and wants to improve and develop their knowledge and understanding. There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this course.
However, you may find it helpful if you have already achieved a Level 1 qualification in a health or social care related area.
