What Modules will you Study?

Your programme will combine practical, subject-specific learning with activities designed to help you develop skills for work and future study.

Depending on the pathway you choose, you will develop introductory knowledge and practical skills linked to your chosen sector. You will also work on key employability skills, including:
• Communication
• Teamwork
• Confidence and independence
• Organisation and time management
• Problem-solving
• Preparing for the workplace
• Personal and professional development

English and maths will also form part of your study programme, helping you to build the skills needed for progression and employment.

What are the entry requirements?

Level 1 Pathways are suitable for learners who have typically achieved Grade 1 or Grade 2 in their GCSE subjects and are ready to develop their knowledge and practical skills in their chosen area.

We are looking for learners who:
• Have an interest in their chosen pathway
• Are willing to take part in practical and classroom-based learning
• Are committed to attending college regularly
• Are ready to develop their English, maths and employability skills
• Are motivated to work towards further study, training or employment

We will work with you to make sure your chosen pathway is the right starting point for your skills, interests and future goals.

Successful completion of a Level 1 Pathway can help you prepare to progress to a higher-level course in your chosen curriculum area, further training or employment. Throughout the programme, your tutors will support you to develop your skills, explore your options and plan your next step.
