The Level 1 Certificate in Brickwork is a short evening course which will support you to understand the basics of bricklaying.
Our evening classes are exclusive to adults, taught in our workshop in small groups. Our evening courses are suitable for those considering a new career.
We also offer courses in plastering, plumbing, carpentry & joinery and painting and decorating.
Our bricklaying classes run throughout the year in six weeks blocks.
Fees: £45 per learner.
Funding may be available if unemployed or earning less than £25,750 per year, subject to residency eligibility criteria.

What Modules will you Study?
You will study:
Introduction to health and safety in construction
You will study two of the following units:
Constructing half brick walling
Introduction to the construction industry
Constructing block walling
Constructing half brick return corners
Constructing cavity walls in brickwork and blockwork
Costructing one brick walling

Entry Requirements
What are the entry requirements?
Our adult learning short courses and evening classes are aimed at those aged 19 and over and must have completed L1 Award in Bricklaying.
Progression
What opportunities will this lead to?
You may wish to progress to one of our other construction courses in plastering, plumbing, carpentry & joinery or painting & decorating.
