The Level 1 Award in Carpentry and Joinery is a short evening course which will support your understanding and basic practical skills.
Our evening classes are exclusive to adults, taught in our workshop in small groups. Our evening courses are suitable for those considering a new career.
We also offer courses in bricklaying, plastering, painting & decorating and plumbing.
Our carpentry and joinery classes run throughout the year in six weeks blocks.
Fees: £40 per learner.
Funding may be available if unemployed or earning less than £25,750 per year, subject to residency eligibility criteria.

Entry Requirements
What are the entry requirements?
Our adult learning short courses and evening classes are aimed at those aged 19 and over.
There are no formal entry requirements other than an interest in the subject and a commitment to attend and complete the course.
Progression
What opportunities will this lead to?
Students may progress to Level 1 Certificate in Carpentry & Joinery. Please see our adult part-time and evening courses page for details.
We also offer other evening courses in construction including: bricklaying, plumbing, plastering and painting and decorating.
