This course offers you the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of current general project management theory.
Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a certificate from Furness College confirming your achievement.
This is a distance learning course that takes approximately 45 hours to complete.
You may start this course at any time during the year.

Course Content
What Modules will you Study?
You will study:
An introduction to PM and its operating environment
Different types of project lifecycles
Understand some of the main roles and responsibilities in projects.
An introduction to baselines and stakeholder management
A basic business case
An introduction to benefits and success criteria
Estimating
Scope and the main breakdown structures
An introduction to configuration management and change control
Scheduling and critical path
Optimisation of resources
An introduction to risk and issue management
An introduction to quality management
Communication within projects
Teamwork and leadership within projects
Your understanding will be checked at the end of each unit with multiple choice questions.
There is a final online test to complete the course.

What are the entry requirements?
There are no specific entry requirements other that an interst in the subject and a commitment to complete the course.
A good level of English and maths would be an advantage.
