GCSE Mathematics

You will wish to gain a grade 4 in this subject if you have not already done so, but were close.
A grade 4 or better in GCSE mathematics is a prerequisite for most progression whether academic (in further or higher education) or to employment.
You will study topics familiar to you such as statistics and probability, number and shape, space and algebra.
You will learn concepts and practise questions, both using a calculator and without one. You will use IT tools and work in small groups as well as independently.

Students with a grade 2 or below in GCSE Maths should be enrolled onto the Functional Skills course.

To study mathematics at GCSE level you need to have achieved a grade 3 in GCSE mathematics.
