Want to learn the basic mantenance of a vehicle?
On this course you will learn essential knowledge and skills needed to carry out the basic checks and maintenance of a vehicle. Whether you want to improve your employability to persue a career or learn how to maintain your own vehicle while building self confidence this course is for you. Our adults enjoy our small, supportive groups which are delivered during th evening.
Fees: £75 per learner.

Course Content
What Modules will you Study?
Health and safety
Engine oil and filter replacement
Replacement of an engine cover/ casing or similar
Identifying basic faults which include oil leaks
Vehicle electrical systems checks to lighting systems, horn, wiper, washer system and battery voltage
Removal and replacement of fuses, relays, batteries, brakes and headlamp bulbs
Replacement of brake pads and brake shoes
Inspection of brake fluid, brake pipes and cables

What are the entry requirements?
This course is aimed at adults aged 19 and over.
There are no formal entry requirements other than an interest in the subject and a commitment to attending and completing the course.
