Functional Skills Mathematics


Functional Skills give you the knowledge and skills to use in real life situations. You will gain confidence and capability, whether it’s for work, helping your child or for your own personal development.

Functional Skills Mathematics qualifications are offered at Entry Level 1, 2, 3 or at Level 1 and 2.

Courses run throughout the year, typically starting in September, January and March.

Course Content

What Modules will you Study?

You will study the following:
- Whole Numbers
- Fractions, Decimals and Percentage
- Ratio, proportions, formulas and equations
- Measures – time, length, weight, temperature
- Shape and Space – area and perimeter
- Data Handling – charts, graphs, tables, diagrams, mean, median, mode and range
