If you’re passionate about food and eager to gain hands-on experience while earning a wage, this apprenticeship is the perfect way to develop your skills, knowledge, and confidence in a professional kitchen. You’ll learn the foundations of teamwork, kitchen operations, nutrition, and food safety.
As a Production Chef apprentice, you’ll play an essential role in preparing quality dishes to high standards, meeting customer demand, and supporting your team in a fast-paced environment. Throughout your training, you’ll build the skills and experience needed to thrive in the catering and hospitality industry and gain a nationally recognised Level 2 qualification to boost your long-term career prospects.
As an apprentice you will attend College every Tuesday 9.00am - 4.00pm and spend the remainder of your contracted hours at your place of work.

How long is the course?
The apprenticeship usually takes 12 months to complete, plus a 3 month EPA period.

Entry Requirements
What are the entry requirements?
If you do not hold GCSE grade 4 or a relevant L2 qualification in English and maths you will continue to study and achieve during the apprenticeship.
