Looking for great career options for students who don’t want to go to university? BDO has them.
Who we are
We’re one of the UK’s largest Accountancy and Business Advisory firms providing Audit, Advisory, Tax and Business Services & Outsourcing services to clients across the UK and the globe. When the most ambitious organisations need advice on accountancy and business, they turn to us.
Why we hire trainees
At BDO, we’re looking forward to the future. That’s why we have a long-standing commitment to hiring Apprentices, offering them world-class training and giving them the responsibility to take on real projects and become a key part of our business. That’s why we’re committed to helping our trainees succeed, no matter who they are and what their background is. Our Managing Partner, Paul Eagland joined us as a school leaver and worked his way up to become a senior leader in our business. We already know how integral school leavers are to our business; with the right attitude and the right opportunities, there’s no limit to what they can achieve.
What we offer trainees
Our Apprenticeship Programme is designed to help trainees learn the skills they need to build a stimulating Accountancy career without the debt that comes with a degree from university. The Programme is a tailored blend of real work and industry-leading training where trainees will gain knowledge and experience as they study towards a Masters-level professional qualification, and a full-time job offer upon successful completion of their Apprenticeship. With dedicated managers, exposure to real work and individual support, it’s a unique opportunity to earn while they learn, achieve a globally recognised qualification and get an unparalleled start in a career in Accountancy.
What trainees work on
We work with clients across a diverse range of sectors throughout the UK and the world. From hospitality and financial services to real estate and charities, trainees will work across a variety of sectors and develop an understanding of the areas they might want to peruse in their career.
They may find themselves helping with an audit for the NHS, providing advisory services to a premier league football club, counting sheep as part of a farm audit, or giving tax advice to a pharmaceutical client.
If that sounds interesting, come along to our virtual Insight Event on Wednesday 3rd March at 3pm to find out about our exciting schemes and see which ones could inspire your students.
