How long is the course?
Full-time over one year.
How will I learn?
The course has been designed to meet various learning styles and it includes both the theory and the practical aspects. Various learning resources will be used to underpin the knowledge.
What subjects will I study?
Units studied include:
• Apply airbrush make-up to the face
• Camouflage make-up
• Media make-up
• Fashion and photographic make-up
• Design face and body art
• Production arts planning
• Style and dress hair using a variety of techniques
How will I be assessed?
You will be observed throughout the course by your tutor whilst practicing the skills learnt in class. All students will have to sit an end of unit exam for each unit to successfully complete the course.
Are there any additional costs?
Students must wear a uniform of a tunic and trousers, which costs around £45, including delivery. A cardigan is optional at an additional cost. Students must purchase their uniform themselves and if they qualify for financial help, they may receive some money from the college to go towards the cost. Students will receive an order form in the post with their offer letter. Black flat closed toe shoes must be purchased independently.
