Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning

This qualification is for you if you wish to work as, or are working as a teaching assistant, learning support assistant or similar and want to develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours. Face-to-face teaching and observation in the workplace will ensure a tailored approach to meeting your needs whilst you develop your professional practice. If you are not employed in a school, you will need to secure a placement for a minimum of one day a week.

Start Date: There are three intakes a year in September, January and at Easter. You will attend once a week for 2 hours, fortnightly. In between these enrolment windows, we offer a distance learning programme to help you prepare you for study and gain underpinning knowledge in a range of areas. Level 2 aged 19+ the fee is £482.00. Fees correct as of September 2025, and are subject to change. Fees can be paid in instalments and those on a low income may be able to get fee remission; proof is needed.
