Course Content

How long is the course?

Commencing September 2017 with attendance at Channelside Campus on a Thursday evening 5 – 7pm (fortnightly) for one year.

How will I learn?

A combination of classroom based teaching and on-line learning.

What subjects will I study?

You will need to complete 5 mandatory units to achieve this qualification. The mandatory units are: • enabling children to learn • promoting health and well-being through physical activity and nutrition co-ordination (PANCo) in the early years • working with others to support children with additional needs, including Special Educational Needs and Disability • working with families and other professionals in early years settings • implementing change in an early years setting incorporating a small scale research project.

How will I be assessed?

Through a portfolio of evidence.

Are there any additional costs?

Usually just for stationery.

Entry Requirements

What are the entry requirements?

You must be 18+ and hold a full Level 3 early years/childcare qualification. Additionally, you must be employed in an early years setting at Level 3.

What opportunities will this lead to?
