Course Content

How long is the course?

Full-time over one year.

How will I learn?

Through a combination of workshop demonstrations, hands on and taught sessions

What subjects will I study?

Units studied may include: understanding general motor vehicle systems with a focus on tyres, exhausts, brakes and batteries, health and safety, interpersonal skills and learning about materials, fabrication, tools and measuring devices used in the industry. Every full-time course will include a real experience of work. Maths and English form part of this course and will be assessed at the relevant levels.

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed through practical competence, portfolio of work, knowledge tests and assignments.

Entry Requirements

What are the entry requirements?

A Level 1 Diploma in Vehicle Maintenance or other equivalent qualification. You will be required to attend a pre-entry assessment and interview.

Progression

What opportunities will this lead to?
