Student Profile
Aaron Townsend

Aaron was awarded the Frank Cairns Award for Outstanding Commitment in Construction in 2021.

“Studying at Furness College has provided me with knowledge on various parts of project management including schedules, computer-aided design, and writing and reviewing project specifications that I practice every day at work which allows me to excel in my role. I find it very satisfying when something I have learned in college soon after helps me within my workspace. As well as this, the course has also given me a good understanding around the technical side of construction, sustainability of building and how to select the best building methods on projects. The support from tutors at the college is exceptional and they ensure you have all the resources required to be successful. My overall career goal is to become a successful project manager on large projects in the UK and internationally.”
