You have a desire to be creative either as a performer or a designer within a practical theatrical context. You enjoy working with others in developing projects that will impact on members of your community.
Students often go on to build a career within the performing arts. For others the course serves as an exciting way to build confidence and develop their ability to work with other people in a creative context.
You will focus on developing your skills throughout the course, whilst showing how your knowledge of the performing arts industry works. You will be provided with the opportunity to see a range of live performances, and engage in workshops led by theatre professionals.
You will learn in our fully equipped theatrical workspace, complete with computerised lighting and powerful sound system. You will mostly learn through practical experiences, with some formal teaching of some concepts.

What Modules will you Study?
You will work with others to devise, perform and critique work, learning abouthow you perform and the skills you need to develop. You will learn about the industry and how this functions, the job roles that exists and the realities of the profession.

Entry Requirements
What are the entry requirements?
Cambridge Technical Level 3 Certificate and Extended Certificate in Performing Arts may be studied as part of a mixed programme of 2 A levels and 1 CTEC or BTEC, or a Mixed Level2/Level 3 programme of 3 subjects.
To study performing arts at this level you will need to have gained 4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, or Merit or above in a relevant Level 2 vocational qualification. Preferably some experience in the performing arts field and/or consultation with subject staff.
