If you want the opportunity to work abroad, maybe learn a new language and immerse yourself in a new culture; then this course is for you!

This course would work nicely alongside many level 3 courses, in particular A level travel and tourism, health and social care and drama and theatre. It is endorsed by Thomas Cook, with the offer of a guaranteed interview upon completion.

You will study the differing roles of a resort representative and research the opportunities available with many different organisations. Units of study include;

1. investigate the role of a resort representative.
2. understand the role of a resort representative in resort.
3. prepare for the start of the holiday season.
4. manage airport and transport duties.
5. understand the role of a Children?s representative.
6. understand the role of an entertainment representative.

The course comprises four mandatory units, and two optional (5/6). In total you must complete five units, with evidence being displayed in a portfolio format. therefore there are no exams or coursework, instead the portfolio will consist of a mixture of short reports, presentations and simulated situations evidence.

Whilst on this course you will be able to take part in a variety of educational visits to tourism attractions and destinations. Work experience in the tourism industry is also optional.

Entry Requirements

This qualification is available for anyone who meets the general college entry requirements for Level 2 study or as an option for a mixed Level 2 and Level 3 programme of study.
