Traineeship in Administration (Business Professional)

What are the entry requirements?

Four GCSEs at grades D -G, grades 4/5 (including English and maths) or other equivalent qualifications. You will be required to attend an interview.

What subjects will I study?

Units studied include: working in administration, written business communication, teamwork in administration, financial transactions, organising a business event, communicating with customers, organising business travel and accommodation, text processing and word processing.

Every full-time course will include a real experience of work.

Maths and English form part of this course and will be assessed at the relevant levels.

How will I learn?

This course provides opportunities for learners to develop a range of skills and techniques, personal qualities and attitudes essential for successful performance in working life as well as motivating learners via applied learning and assessment.

How will I be assessed?

The assessment is designed to reward students for what they can do as well as what they know. You will be internally assessed through assignments set and marked by your lecturers. These assignments may be set assignments, projects or case study work. Your coursework contains all the evidence collected as you work through the units.

What opportunities will this lead to?

Students can progress on to the Advanced Apprenticeship in Business Administration or employment in administration in local organisations and businesses. Progression is based on aptitude and a successful interview.

How long is the course?

Full-time over one year.

Are there any additional costs?

There are no specific extra costs, just stationery for study.
