Adult Outreach

As Furness College’s largest provider of adult courses, we are experienced and successful in providing our students with the skills they need to thrive in a range of careers. With a 98% achievement rate in 2019 you can be confident that you will be learning with a team that has a proven track record of excellence.
You can blend classroom learning with online study to suit your situation and learning style, our online classes are supported by regular 1:1 tutorials, so working at home doesn’t mean working alone!
Our in-class training is done in College House on Duke Street and we offer a professional working environment that is also friendly and relaxed. We appreciate that adults are looking for a different environment to learn in that reflects their ambitions whilst being close to the Channelside campus so we can utilise the network of support available to us as part of Furness College.

“I believe that you are never too old to learn and Adult Outreach has inspired me to continue that journey. I have developed skills and gained new qualifications in areas and subjects that were not previously available to me. It has been a fantastic experience working in both class groups and virtually. I was able to dictate the pace and fit the learning and course work into my own schedule. At times it felt that I had a private tutor whose support and encouragement was relentless. I would definitely recommend the professionalism and can-do attitude of Adult Outreach; they are an inspiration!”
Debbie Flood, Business Administration Student.
