Learners have been congratulated for their contribution to the new Furness College building project.
Roy Gallagher, project manager of Ameon, Building Services Engineers, was full of praise for Furness College engineering students who did some work experience with the company while its staff were working on the new build.
Mr Gallagher returned to the Furness College to thank the students and commented on their excellent attitude. Two of the students, Ross Park and Sam Davies, were presented with awards, but Mr Gallagher said all the students were equally deserving because of their hard work and good attitude during the site experience.
Mr Gallagher said: “I was very impressed with the standard of the engineering students who came on site with us to do their work experience. It can be a daunting environment working on such a large scale project and I was impressed with the way all the students took it in their stride. The feedback from all the staff who worked with the students was brilliant, they were very impressed with their hard work and determination and very importantly their safety awareness onsite.”
