Summary

The aim of this course is to introduce learners to the Microsoft Project application to allow them to understand the processes and tools used for project management and be able to plan a project, follow the plan and review the project management process using Gantt charts etc.

What are the entry requirements?

No prior experience required.

What modules will you study?

This is a 6 hour introductory course to the basic planning of projects and creating a Gantt chart using Microsoft Project and this will include:

• Entering Task Names/Organising Tasks into Phases
• Entering Durations
• Linking Tasks
• Setting Nonworking Days
• Documenting Tasks and the Project Plan
• Resources – Setting up Work Resources, Entering Resources Pay Rates.
• Adjusting Working Time for Individual Resources, assigning Resources to Tasks
• Printing Views
• Critical Pat

How will I learn?

The course will be delivered in a computer classroom environment.

How will I be assessed?

No formal assessment.

What opportunities will this lead to?

This should serve as an introduction/gateway to the AAT suite of professional qualifications on to a level 2 and up to and including level 4.

How long is the course?

Two sessions (3 hours per session).

Are there any additional costs?
