VTCT Level 2 Provide Make-up Services

Summary

You will need to attend one day a week for 16 consecutive weeks. On completion you will achieve a unit certificate for VTCT Level 2 Provide make-up services.

What are the entry requirements?

There are no formal entry requirements, however knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology and working in the hair or beauty industry would be an advantage. A good basic education is required. A caring approach and good communication skills are an asset. An interest in the subject is essential.

What subjects will I study?

You will study the following units:

- Provide make-up services

This unit is about providing make-up services for a variety of occasions, including day, evening and special occasions. You will need to show you can work with a variety of skin types and conditions. The unit covers the application of a wide range of make-up products to different skin tones and age groups.

To carry out this unit you will need to maintain effective health, safety and hygiene throughout your work. You will also need to maintain your personal appearance and good communication with the client.

How will I learn?

You will learn through a mix of directed learning, on line activities and practical workshops.

What opportunities will this lead to?

The purpose of this qualification is to develop your skills in beauty therapy to a high level of occupational ability, to enable you to perform your own salon services.

Are there any additional costs?

All students are expected to purchase the college uniform to complete practical assessments.
