You will study a broad range of topics such as: communication, equality and rights, human development, health and safety, health promotion, caring for children, older people and people with additional needs, working in the health and social care sectors, health problems and nutrition.
You will take part in relevant work placements in a care home, nursery, primary or secondary school or a day-centre. This will give you an opportunity to collect information for your coursework as well as providing you with practical experience of working in a care setting.
To study health and social care at this level you need four GCSEs at grade 4 or better or a relevant vocational qualification at merit grade or above.
