Apprenticeship in Digital Learning Design
This brand new and innovative course gives you the skills and ability to design and produce eLearning materials.
What are the entry requirements?
Advanced Apprentice Level 3
An apprenticeship at Level 2 or other equivalent qualifiction.
What subjects will I study?
You will develop the knowledge and competency to become a digital learning designer. Units include: an introduction to the digital learning environment, user experience design, working in a digital working lifecycle, digital assessment design, quality standards, collaborative technologies and outcomes, technical advice and guidance, using social media technologies, A/V production, graphic design and imagery and storyboarding.
How will I learn?
An Apprenticeship framework is made up of practical work based training (with your employer), training to support the theory and knowledge of your vocational area and general skill qualifications in maths, English and IT. You will also learn about employee rights and responsibilities, personal, learning and thinking skills and depending on which area of training you undertake; some of this learning may take place in college.
How will I be assessed?
The Apprenticeship is assessed on practical aptitude, a portfolio of work and external assessment. The technical certificate is assessed in your lessons through assignments set by your tutors. Maths and English are assessed by examination and a portfolio of evidence.
What opportunities will this lead to?
Once the Apprenticeship has finished there is the opportunity to carry on working, maybe get promoted or if appropriate, progress onto advanced level apprenticeships. In some instances you can go on to higher education in a college or university.
Are there any additional costs?
There are no specific extra costs, just stationery for study.
